HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS

Use a flexible tape measure. Stand up straight in front of a mirror so you can see whether you are holding the tape measure level.

An even easier way is to take the measurement from a garment that you already own and you know fits you well ❤️ NOTE: If you are using this method, lay your garment flat, smooth out any wrinkles and measure across and down the garment as per our illustration above.

1. BUST/CHEST  Measure under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and over the widest part of your bust.
2. WAIST Measure around the narrowest part of your waist.
3. HIPS Measure around the widest part of your hips.
4. INSIDE LEG SEAM Measure from the top of the inside of your leg (groin), standing with your legs straight measure to your thigh or ankle depending on what kind of garment you are looking at.

OUR HOT TIPS

1: Take your measurements in good fitting underwear. We do not recommend taking measurements over bulky clothing. We also recommend that you measure 2/3 times and average the result.

2: Another option is to take a few of your well fitting garments and take the measurements directly from them. If you are measuring multiple items of the same style we recommend taking the each measurement then averaging out the result.

Please also note: Our sizing guides are meant to assist when selecting clothing items only. Please note that sizes may differ between manufacturers and clothing brands. We cannot guarantee that any item will be true to size. Whilst we do our best, The Bowerbird Collective does not take any responsibility for sizing that does not match your own size.
